What is a pearl? Where do they come from? Provide brief information about what a pearl is and where they are found, how they are made and the likelihood of finding one. Provide an image.
•"A pearl is a hard object produced within the soft tissue (specifically the mantle) of a living shelled mollusc." Generally, the molluscs are bivalves or clams. Pearls come from inside the mollusc. A pearl is composed of calcium carbonate in minute crystalline form. They are made when an "irritating microscopic object becomes trapped within the mollusk's mantle folds." Depending on whether the pearl is real or fake, the values are completely different. Imitated pearls are still sold for a lot of money when people try to trick their buyers. Real and authentic pearls are very valuable and rare. Pearls are mainly used in jewelry like necklaces, earrings, and bracelets, but they can also be used in clothing and fabrics.
