Jane Yolen is a very famous American author and poet for science fiction, fantasy, and children's books. She was born on February 11, 1939 in New York. She has written and edited more than 280 books during her career. Jane was most famously known for "The Devil's Arithmetic", a fictional novel that talks about a thirteen-year-old girl living in New York during the Holocaust. She was always interested in the medeival times. She was married to David W. Stemple on September 2, 1962 and got divorced in 2006. She has three children and six grandchildren. She currently lives in Massachusets.
